FUT
1- A scar remains on the nape of the neck.
2- The patient may experience significant pain in the first two to three days,due to tension in the stitches.
3- As the area from which hair is removed is narrow,fewer follicles can be taken.
4- Follicles can only be taken from the nape of the neck and nowhere else.
5- While grouping the follicles after removal,some may be damaged and cannot be used at the time of transplantation.
6- In order to disguise the linear scar on the donor area, the hair needs to be kept long.
FUE
1- No scar remains on the nape of the neck.
2- The pain after the operation is minimal.
3- As the follicles are removed from a larger area,the technique enables the removal of a greater number of follicles.
4- Hairs can be removed from other body parts in addition to the nape of the neck.
5- Follicles that cannot be removed at the initial phase will remain in situ,thus there is no wastage of follicles in the transplantation.
6- As follicles will be extracted from the donor area with the help of micro punches, the hair length should be a maximum of grade 1.Hair of grade 0.5 is ideal.
